LAO Wrestling CALENDAR

Practices:
Preparation for wrestling season starts in Advent and the season concludes in Lent. In order to avoid conflict with any midweek worship services practice is on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

• 6:00 pm Doors Open
• 6:15 pm Devotions / Announcements
• 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm (5 & 6 year olds dismissed)
• 7:30 pm to 8:15 pm Second Half

Registration by	Last Friday in October
First Practice	First Tuesday after Thanksgiving
First Competition availablility	First Saturday or Sunday after the 1st of January
Registration is CLOSED	after 4th Tuesday of January
MMWA Regional	First Saturday or Sunday of March
MMWA State	Second Sunday of March
MYWA Regional	Third Saturday or Sunday of March
MYWA State	TBD

Since November of 2005 this has been our home site. With the LORD’s help we would like to develop additional sattilites throughout metro Detroit, the state and the nation.

Why you may ask?

Much like our Synod we worship in different locations but members of one body.  We envision these satellites to be one in purpose. . maintain our focus on our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ WHILE demonstrating a fearless competitive attitude.  Caring that purpose forward when we come together at a tournament be it local or national we can wrestle under one umbrella to Bring Glory to God; Walk in Love, Light & Wisdom; Be Salt and Light to the world.  If you are interested in joining us in Dearborn or in starting a satellite at your church or school please contact us at Loren.Kinne@LAOus.com /  313.359.0865.

Tournaments (voluntary) :
While the participation in tournaments is voluntary it is truly the best way to see progress in the development of a young wrestler.  At the same time enjoy quality time as a family.  LAO Wrestling of Michigan will be competing in two youth wrestling leagues. 

• Mid Michigan Wrestling Association (MMWA) and
• Michigan Youth Wrestling Association (MYWA).

The area in which the tournaments are located are bounded:

• On the North - Flint MI
• On the South - North West Ohio
• On the East - Madison Hts., MI
• On the West - East Lansing MI
