Welcome to the LAO Sports

The goal of LAO Sports is to be a resource that enables members of the LCMS  (Pre high school Youth and Post high school Adults) opportunity to connect with other Lutheran Christians to develop Christian Friendships while sharing their love for their LORD and their passion for athletic competition.

When you consider the activities that “FILL” your leisure time, it is important to realize that the relationships that are developed will either be beneficial or detrimental to your Christian Walk.  Secular sports programs are no different.

Whether you are a parent or an adult participant the questions about these relationships are the same, the authority and / or the responsibility for who makes the ultimate decision is the only difference

• Does the team you (your son or daughter) play on, invigorate and promote your (their) faith?
• Are you (they) comfortable sharing your (their) faith with your (their) coachs or teammates?
• At practices or games are you comfortable sharing your faith with other parents or spectators?

If the answers to these questions are yes, PRAISE the LORD, we are genuinely happy for you.  IF not help us build LAO Sports.  LAO Sports wants to be a self-sustaining entity to provide creative, high quality, flexible sports programming to address identified needs of the membership within the Circuit and / or Region of the LCMS that your congregation is a member of.

HOW can you help?

• Pray that LAO and its participants always stays focused on our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
• Ask your pastor or office manager to put the following INFORMATION in your weekly bulletin or congregational news letter at least once a month through out the year.

LAO Sports is the ONLY organization of its kind AND no membership fees are required!  All interested are participants and the leagues and events are Pay as you Play for everyone!

Based on interest level (number of participates in a given demographic and geographic area) and facility availability (Gyms, and Athletic Fields at congregations in your circuit) LAO Sports would like to coordinate a variety of sports each of the 4 seasons of the athletic calendar.
