Amusement Parks
Many Churches plan an annual outing to the local amusement parks, Cedar Point, Kings Island, Six Flags, etc. So why not plan far enough in advance so all of the LCMS Churches within a Circuit or District go on the same day. At least one District already does that for Cedar Point. But the next question is, “Why stop there?”
Long-term vision:
- All District post their Date on the LAO website so vacationing Brothers and Sisters in Christ could use this information to plan their vacation.
- Long-term vision: Plan a national Amusement Park Day so that nation wide all LCMS Churches plan to go to there "local" amusement park on the same day
How Can you HELP?
- Start today!
- Pray that LAO and its participants always stays focused on our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
- Ask your pastor for a list of all the other congregations in your Circuit.
- Contact each congregations in your circuit to ask them if they would be interested in planning a joint outing to the "local" amusement part next summer.
- Post the Destination, Date and Mini Itinerary (Where to meet for morning devotions, lunch and or discount tickets) on the LAO website to enable other interested congregations (or individuals) to meet up with you.
- Invite other demographics (Jr. Youth, Families, Singles, and Seniors) for the same day or plan separate days for these other demographics.
